Dream Team - Knox, Schueckler & Watson

This "Dream Team" is composed of three very successful career artists, each of them are masters of their crafts and have completed numerous successful projects both public and private. This team has joined forces to be able to offer Texas A&M the very best of their talents in art concept creation, sculpture and stone monument art.

 

Meet the Team

 

Larry Schueckler

 

Class of '75, is well known in his field as a prolific sculptor. His sculptures already grace many public spaces, including the Texas A&M campus, where they bring a true sense of Aggie spirit and beauty to all who pass.

 

Larry's sculpture depicting the spirit of Aggie athletics, "The Lettermen" graces the main lobby of the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association lounge in Kyle Field.

 

 

This beautiful and elegant tryptic sculpture is on the Texas A&M campus in front of Rudder Tower commissioned to commemorate MSC OPAS.

 

 

Larry has an excellent command of his craft and the unique ability to capture emotion and movement in his sculptures.

Benjamin Knox

 

Class of '90, is the renowned "Aggie Artist", whose love and loyalty of Texas A&M and as a former member of the Corps of Cadets, shines through in his many artworks depicting the Aggie spirit. 

"Home of the 12th Man" oil painting completed in 2010.

 

Benjamin created the iconic "Aggie Bonded Rings" in 1989, and it is also represented as a sculpture in front of the Association of Former Students as the class gift of 1994.

Benjamin has been the artist on many public art projects.

 Benjamin created the State Gift of Texas for Governor Rick Perry and Secretary of State Geoffrey Connor.

 

  Benjamin served as the artistic consultant on the Spirit Plaza project on the Texas A&M campus for the Class of 69', and created the artwork that Tony Watson used on the historical monuments.

 

 

 Benjamin was chosen to complete the artwork for the Native Texan License Plate, that benefits the Alamo and San Jacinto Monument for the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

 

 

Benjamin was commissioned to complete the painting, "From Texas to Bastogne", to be exhibited at the Bastogne War Museum, Belgium for the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

 

Benjamin was chosen to create all of the artwork (677 pieces) for Embassy Suites Hotel by Hilton, College Station. 

 

Benjamin was commissioned to create this painting  commemorating the College of Agriculture Centennial Anniversary. A large reproduction of this painting is also the featured artwork in the Plant Pathology building lobby.

  

Benjamin was chosen to be the artist for the dedication of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

Tony Watson

 

Class of '17, is a skilled memorial artist who has crafted many loved stone work monuments on the Texas A&M campus and nationally.

 

Tony created all of the beautiful stone work and monuments for the Spirit Plaza on the Texas A&M Campus. Tony worked with Benjamin to aid the Class of '69 in completing this dedication to permanently preserving the spirit of Muster and Silver Taps.

 

Tony's award winning style explores different techniques and textures, to successfully honor the legacy of the stories represented.

 

Tony uses innovative technology combined with old world craftmanship to create memorable pieces of art.

 

Tony is an accomplished designer and hands on craftsman. He strives to create stonework that is beautiful and timeless.
