This fine art print is from one of Benjamin's first oil paintings. He started working in oil paints in 2002 when he wanted to do more Texas landscape scenes. This collectable Benjamin Knox image has since become iconic and much copied.
Since the 1970's, this barn in Reagan, TX has been a welcome sign for all coming to Aggieland from Waco on Highway 6. It is especially beautiful in spring, when all of the Texas wildflowers are in bloom around it. When looking closer at Benjamin's imagery, you will see maroon bluebonnets, a watchful mockingbird, a "Gig'em" hidden in the clouds, and the longhorns have their horns sawed off. This fine art print also expresses the agricultural and agrarian roots that are embedded in Texas A&M and Texas culture.
